Early Interest in Fitness

Alex had a natural interest in fitness from a young age, despite being skinny-fat as a child. Around age 14, he wanted to start lifting weights, but his father only allowed calisthenics until he turned 16.

Calisthenics Foundation

During his early teens, Alex focused on bodyweight exercises such as push-ups and pull-ups. This helped him develop athleticism and endurance, often outperforming peers in physical tests.

Life Challenges and Motivation

At 16, Alex experienced a traumatic event when his first love passed away. This led to emotional struggles but also fueled his motivation to improve physically and mentally.

Inspiration from Role Models

Alex discovered the Bar Brothers, European calisthenics athletes, and was inspired by their physiques. He also drew motivation from movies like 300 to pursue a stronger, more sculpted body.

Starting a Structured Program

He invested $60 in a 12-week calisthenics program, which he credits as the turning point that got him seriously into the gym. This program laid the foundation for his transition to weightlifting.

Transition to Weightlifting and Success

After about a year of calisthenics, Alex began incorporating weight training. This decision not only transformed his physique but also enabled him to build a lifestyle and career around fitness.

Encouragement for Beginners

Alex emphasizes that he understands both beginners and those struggling in the gym. He assures that anyone can achieve success with guidance and determination, just as he did without any initial roadmap.
